Learning Horizon's Managing Director Kevin Farrell is a former primary teacher and is detemined to help improve the literacy levels in schools all over Ireland.

Learning Horizons is a 100% Irish owned company, founded in November 2003 by Kevin Farrell. Kevin was a primary teacher for ten years in the Tallaght area. After taking a career break from his teaching job in St. Dominic's N.S., he spent six years working as a freelance sales rep for companies such as In- Class Educational, ABC Bookshop and Rainbow Education.

Kevin set up Learning Horizons as a vehicle for providing Irish teachers with quality products designed by practising Irish teachers for Irish classrooms. Our first product was the hugely successful Sounds to Words Program. Sounds to Words 1, 2 and 3 is a complete, teacher-developed software program with integrated tools for teaching multi-sensory phonics instruction. In September 2004, Learning Horizons published the Newell Literacy Programme, a multi-sensory phonetic, sequential and success-oriented programme to help improve child and adult literacy skills in reading, writing and spelling.
